Mahabal Enviro Engineers Pvt.
Ltd. (MEEPL) incorporated on 19th Oct., 1984 is a company
engaged in providing environmental consultancy services. It
has a laboratory established under the Environment (Protection)
Act and is located at its Head Office at F-7,
Road 21, MIDC Wagle Estate,
Thane 400604 . Although
the jurisdiction of the Head Office extends all over the country,
it is assisted by the branches located at Nashik, Pune, Aurangabad,
Jalgaon and Nagpur (all in Maharashtra), Chhindwara in Madhya
Pradesh, Secunderabad in Andhra Pradesh and Bharuch in Gujarat.
The Branches do also have laboratories established either
in the office or at the client's site for analysis of general
parameters in Air, Water and Waste Water samples.
Functions
and Activities of the Organisation MEEPL at its Head Office,
carries out the following:
- Analysis
of Samples:
Sampling and analysis of emission and quality of Air and
Surface or Ground Water, Waste Water, Soil, Hazardous Waste
and Leachates for various physical, chemical and bacteriological
parameters.
- Environmental Clearance
from State or Central Govt., as may be required. We carry
out the job right from filling up the Questionnaire to obtaining
the final letter of clearance.
- Applications
to obtain Consents of the State Pollution Control Boards
to Establish and Operate the Industrial Units:
As per the details of the project, fill up the application
forms for Consents (earlier called NOC) of State Pollution
Control Board, under the Water (P&CP) Act, 1974, the
Air (P&CP) Act, 1981 and Authorisation under the Hazardous
Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 1989. It requires
a complete study of the project to prepare various Annexure
required for submission with the applications.
- EIA
including Base-line Data for Impact Assessment:
Collection of base-line data for and/or post establishment
Environment Impact Assessment Studies, prepare Study Reports
including Impact Statements based on results of mathematical
models for assessment of ground level concentration due
to source emissions and Environment Management Plans, thereby
equip industries for obtaining Environmental Clearances
from the Central or State Government for establishment or
expansion of industrial units.
- Characterisation/Treatability/Feasibility
Studies:
Collection and analysis of representative samples for characterisation
of the waste water and carrying out bench scale treatability
of samples in the laboratory and preparation of feasibility
study report and suggest a treatment system.
- Design
of Effluent Treatment Plant:
Detailed design and drawing of Sewage and Effluent Treatment
Plants and carryout construction of ETP on Turn-key basis
in case clients don't have their dedicated Civil Contractors.
- Operation
and Maintenance of Sewage and Effluent Treatment Plants:
Undertake Operation and maintenance of Sewage and Effluent
Treatment Plants on behalf of the industry by providing
trained manpower and supervision and analysis of samples
at the site laboratories.
- Assist
Industrial Units in projecting cases for obtaining Consents:
Undertake preparation and submission of application to assist
industries for obtaining various statutory consents from
the State Pollution Control Boards.
- Water
Treatment Systems:
The reconnaissance, survey and design of Water Collection,
Pumping, Conveyance and Treatment Systems for potable water
supply.
- Operation
& Maintenance of Water Treatment and Supply:
The operation and maintenance of raw water pumping and conveyance
systems, Water Treatment Plants and Treated water Pumping
and Conveyance systems.
- Noise
Pollution:
Measurement of Noise levels in the industrial premises for
the industry's own assessment or when specifically desired
by any statutory authority and recommend measures for attenuation.
- Ventilation
Studies:
Carrying out ventilation studies in industrial Sheds and
preparation of reports and recommend measures for improvement.
- Legal
Advice w.r.t. Water/Air/Environment Acts & Rules:
Provide advice to industries and NGOs in preparation of
appeals and framing cases for prosecution.
